New technology helps Transit Agencies and Parking Operators stop losses significantly
Some estimates find that counterfeiting, tampering and theft affect 7% of worldwide trade. If those estimates hold true, this would equate to between $900 billion and one trillion in losses per year. What is more alarming is that it is further estimated that these losses are increasing at 15% a year. The Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group estimates that more than one-third of that amount (in excess of $350 billion) is lost through counterfeiting.
Dramatic improvements in technology, color copying and printing, combined with lower costs, have made the challenge faced by transit agencies and parking operators to stop losses significant.
